Die casting is a metal casting process in which molten metal is forced into a steel mold under high pressure into a mold cavity. The steel molds, known as dies, are fabricated to produce castings with intricate shapes in a manner that insures both accuracy and repeatability.
Wheel frame mold need high precision and long mold life,we usually use improved H13 or DIEVAR core material to ensure the mold quality, and the wheel frame material usually use zinc alloy or aluminum alloy,Some manufacturers or customers request to use magnesium alloy to make it more lighter. The skeleton is produced by die casting mold,this process usually need a trim mold to remove the burr.
Foaming: the foaming material usually polyurethane, density 350,we put the skeleton in foaming mold to make the foamed steel wheel, use foaming machine to combine the two process,normally will have wheel bush insertion to be molded.
Outer skin on steering wheels is sewn by workers in China.
Some steering wheel wood materials are replaced by woodtick, Rootsino is professional on injection molding of PP, ABS and other plastics, surface treatment can be painting, PVD coating, plating and others such as brush steel.
